Selling Points
What do DXC executives see as the selling points for digital efforts? It begins by helping their customers drive productivity gains, then getting them to reinvest those gains in digital transformation. "We know we can get x amount of productivity improvement out of our installed base," Lawrie said in response to a question.
"We want to get a greater share of their total IT spend and we want to take some of that money that we are saving them and asking them to reinvest to just … modernize" their infrastructures, said Chief Financial Officer Paul Saleh.
Meanwhile, DXC expects that wider margins will allow it to invest more in its digital offerings. Also, the company expects to execute some "tuck in" acquisitions to help fuel an estimated 1 to 2 percent growth in digital through fiscal 2020.
