Working During Vacation Can Unleash Family Friction

About one in every four IT professionals surveyed said they hide work-related activities while on vacation from family members or traveling companions, TEKsystems found. But an even higher group – 34 percent of entry- and mid-level employees and 41 percent at the senior level – admit that excusing themselves from a leisure activity to address a work-related issue causes conflict or friction.

Korn Ferry's broader survey found that conflict level higher. It said half of all workers have had disagreements with their spouse about being too connected to work.
